When Arouna decided to leave Senegal to go to Italy to find his redemption he was only seventeen. His journey through the desert, the imprisonment in Libya, the boat that took him to Lampedusa and the unfair accuse of helping human traffickers during the crossing, the Piazza Lanza prision in Catania and the endless walks under the Sicilian sun are just some of the steps of his journey. “Never Stop” is the photographic book born after meeting with Carmelo Stompo, in which Carmelo gives shape to Arouna’s experience and ambitions. The aim of the project and of the associated video documentary, is to launch a crowdfunding campaign that will allow Arouna to go back to Senegal to visit his family.
